BACKGROUND:
The four-day symposium is in conjunction with International Volunteers Day on December 5, 2011 which aims to generate a realization of the important value of volunteerism and its impact on the human society and national development, with its theme: “Volunteers as Enablers for Nation Building”. Its objectives are: 1) to explore the context of volunteering and volunteerism among young people, 2) to identify the areas for development for young volunteers and 3) to establish the ecosystem for the mobilization of young people.
